What a business plan is in the feed
Retailers publish small-business plans to the same regulator feeds as household plans, marked for business customers, with their own supply and usage rates per network. OpenStream reads them nightly and prices each at a stated usage the same way as household plans: 365 days of supply plus the kilowatt-hours at the published rates, GST as published, conditional discounts excluded. Plans priced on demand or linked to the wholesale price have no single honest estimate and are left out of the ranking, as on the household pages.
Business against household
Victoria: cheapest business $88 against cheapest household $84 a month; New South Wales: cheapest business $116 against cheapest household $86 a month; Tasmania: cheapest business $116 against cheapest household $112 a month; Queensland: cheapest business $103 against cheapest household $94 a month; South Australia: cheapest business $129 against cheapest household $129 a month; ACT: cheapest business $127 against cheapest household $78 a month. The usage a business pays for is usually higher and concentrated in working hours, so a time-of-use plan's peak window matters more; the estimate spreads usage evenly across the week, and the business bill check prices plans on your own figures instead.
Comparing on your bill
The business page lists the cheapest business plan on each network with a hand-off to the retailer, and the energy hub has a business switch for your own usage: business electricity.
