How it works

See what you could save, then switch.

Tell us where, and OpenStream compares every NBN provider on price for that line. Already connected? See the saving over months and years against what you pay now. Moving in or connecting for the first time? We simply find the best plan. Either way you sign up with the provider you pick. Free, nothing promoted, every price cites its source.

Questions people ask.

Does it cost anything?
No. Comparing is free and we never charge you. Where a provider pays a referral commission we may receive one; it never changes the order plans are shown in, and the cheapest plan is simply the cheapest plan.
How do I sign up?
Pick a plan and we send you to the provider's own site to sign up. The price you saw is the price you get; nothing is added on the way through.
Will I lose internet during the switch?
Usually not. Most providers connect the new service first; on the same NBN line the cutover itself takes minutes. Cancel the old plan once the new one is live, so you are never paying twice.
What about my current contract or modem?
Most NBN plans are month to month. If yours has a contract or a modem repayment we tell you the exit cost before anything is cancelled, so you can decide.
Why don't I see a provider I know?
We track every brand on NBN Co's provider register. If a brand shows no plans yet, it means we have not captured priced plans from its site, not that we left it out, and we never estimate a price.
How do you know the prices are right?
Every price links to the provider page it was read from and the hour it was last confirmed. If you spot a wrong one, the corrections page tells us and we fix the source.

Open pricing means Australians can be better informed, and save more.

Most comparison sites show a fraction of the market: the providers that pay to be listed. OpenStream tracks every NBN brand on NBN Co's register, 149 NBN brands on the register, with 431 priced NBN plans re-read every hour. Nothing is promoted, every price links to the page it came from, and the whole dataset is free to download.
