Am I paying too much for my mobile plan?

As of 2026-11-08 the cheapest tracked plan with at least 20GB is Pivotel's 25GB at $22.90 a month ongoing ($11.45 for the first 6 months) for 25GB on the Vodafone network, cheapest of 82 plans, and with at least 50GB it is SpinTel's 50GB at $29 a month for 50GB on the Optus network, cheapest of 55 plans. The bill check places the data you use and what you pay among every SIM-only plan OpenStream tracks with at least that much data, and names the cheapest.

What the check does

Two numbers in, one checkable sentence out.

Every SIM-only brand in Australia resells Telstra, Optus or Vodafone, and we read each brand's plan page every hour. Given the data you use we keep every plan with at least that much; given what you pay we say how many of them cost less and which is cheapest, on your network or any. Prepaid plans sold per recharge are normalised to 30 days and labelled. See every plan.

Advertised prices including GST, re-read every hour from each brand's own page; every plan links the page and the night it was confirmed. Coverage at your address is the carrier's to confirm. How this is collected

Open pricing means Australians can be better informed, and save more.

Most comparison sites show a fraction of the market: the brands that pay to be listed. OpenStream reads the SIM-only plans on each brand's own page every night, 90 SIM-only plans priced from 24 mobile brands with a priced plan, names the network each brand resells, and shows nothing it could not read. Nothing is promoted and every price links to the page it came from.
